I have bought the last of my SAECO coffee machines! I am buying a Sunbeam coffee machine this coming year 2008. Expensive maybe not as much as Saeco I also won't need the bull from the sales people. When Saeco try to sell you a coffee machine along with many other places whether your in Domayne, Harvey norman, Myers or the like there is usually a woman there who is a sales rep for Saeco. Usually she was fantastic enough to hide the flaws with Saeco machines and make them look good. When she shows you inside, it is wise to note those useless plastic parts that wear out in 1 to 5 years. Most times she will also explain the Saeco coffee machines work and she even make you a cup of coffee!

Do not get hooked as we have been and DO NOT BUY SAECO. We were hooked. IT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF OUR LIVES! We had so much trouble with it. We had to take it back to Saeco four times in four months because it was faulty. We had the manager come out to our house one more time, because we would not drive all the way back to the service centre IN BRISBANE WHICH MEANS 4 HOURS TRAVEL. When asked why we had so much trouble with this fully automatic machine when we had absolutely no trouble with a little sunbeam or our 15 YEAR OLD KRUPPS... WHICH by the way has never had a service.

Saeco excuse "Well, you have to expect that it's going to have more trouble because it has more parts that can break."

I agree. What a pathetic answer! except for the fact our Saeco For use of it for 4 out of the 5 years owning it has cost us around $4000 and you would think that SAECO would make one with parts that don't break or at least last 10 years!

Unless you are prepared to pay around $800 to $1200 a year I would not recomend buying a Saeco.
