We lodge this form with regret that Saeco Australia still has not repaired, refunded or rectified the continuing manufacturing defects / problems. We have expended $3900 plus on these machines purchased in 2000 and 2002. This company has lied to us a number of times to get us to pay for their faulty workmanship and manufacturing defects when boilers have had leaks and blamed all sorts of things instead of telling us the truth. The first machine was purchased on the 23-11-00, we were forced to buy the second machine or lose all the money we had spent on 14-06-02 after QCMS the Saeco representative for Australia at the time blew our first machines boiler & destroyed the electric system.

This was blamed on us when it was QCMS who used a harsh descale which we at the time understood and still may have damaged the machine: However on further investigation we found Saeco has common knowledge of the boilers in these machines to be weak. Saeco only advises the customer after purchasing and only when problems arise that they are common knowledge. One of the other main problems with their machines is the brew group is plastic & is shocked each time the machine self cleans it causing stripping of the shower screen holder & washer for this they charge round $50 FOR A SINGLE SCREW to repair this factory fault.

I cannot wait to see the look on their faces when people like the farmer starts to charge them equally such as $20 for a 20 cent egg, or $120 a litre for petrol. ;-)

Saeco Gold coast representative at Johnson street charged $168 to replace this machines boiler deemed to be as advised a manufacturing defect & failed to replace the electric system which would have rusted or faulted as it has done which we are now forced to pay around $495 to the new representative on Scarborough street or lose over $3900.

Comparing the faulty workmanship, manufacturing defects lies & deceptive conduct portrayed to us throughout our custom with Saeco and it's representatives; To our Krupps which we have had no problems with in over 14 years costing only $495 and having no services or parts needing replacement during this time. It is no wonder that we are upset with this Saeco that has cost us over $550 EACH YEAR SINCE PURCHASE of the initial $995 coffee machine. TO make matters worse QCMS talked us into accepting the current machine based on the fact that it is a commercial machine used for vending. However we only make 2 coffees a day on average with it so it should have lasted over 10 years before any faults occurred.

BUY SAECO coffee machines no way they cost 8 times the amount of a normal machine and only work properly 50% of the time.
