In another effort to gain more money from the people council has put out the
butt patrol. The new patrol is designed to be a great revenue collector for
the council and that is it. Local tests over 16 years have indicated that
the benefits of the smoke butts far outweigh the minor incidences of
accidents with them. One would think all the smashed glass from the alcohol
drinkers would be a greater problem as it causes many injuries and fires and
does not degrade like the butts.
Smoke butts yes they contain poisons but they are going to end up in the
ground anyway just in a more concentrated amount if all dumped in one area.
Our tests proved they hold a great amount of moisture and breakdown after
around 6 months also they help stop pest infestation by way of the nicotine
which is the predominant chemical used in a common termiticide known as
Premise 200. One average treatment of this product equals a carton of 200
smokes. Nicotine is not as toxic in the small doses from the butts compared
to the council plans, or is there an ulterior motive to make their own
poison.

We would like a team to be setup that helps solve two issues slacking
councillors and council workers and unemployment. Recently we noticed a team
of 6 council staff plumbers on a project from approximately 7am to 3pm 3
hours of which they were just standing round talking. We watched this team
the whole time as it was fascinating only half of them worked half the time.
If 100 groups of the like did this we the citizens would be paying over
$750,000.00 for nothing just in wages, let alone the other staff, trucks and
equipment waste to get them to do nothing. Is this just a misappropriation
of funds or just plain FRAUD?
We would envision that 12 members would be needed for this group saving
about $600,000 annually. 3 supervisors costing $50,000 each annually and 9
people who are on the work for the dole scheme. This would certainly get a
lot more work done with money to spare as a result of not having wasted
money on man hours not being utilised.
Recently in a turn of events the mayor now says we can have a football team.
Did the mayor use his power to try snatching the first tickets or did the
ratepayers buy them for him.

Gold coast MAYOR wants to seize control of the city's finances by heading a
new special budget working group. Cr Clarke's plan would strip finance boss
Rob Molhoek of his responsibility for handing down the council's annual
budget. Could this be an attempt to discredit Cr Molhoek as he heads towards
the upcoming mayoral elections.
A war of words has erupted since he announced his plan at Monday's council
meeting, with Cr Molhoek yesterday questioning the mayor's motivation.
Cr Clarke admitted it would be a major policy shift because the head of the
finance committee had always presented the council budget.

The big bad wolf of the Gold Coast is still huffing and puffing over water
supplies on the gold coast. He has found something else that he is trying to
blow away. Football...
Mayor of the Gold Coast City Council has forgotten about the letter he read
now has done a back flip over whether or not the new Gold Coast football
team can play on the coast. It seems what he wants he gets. One minute he
wants water and the next he doesn't. One minute he wants all the money from
sport fans and the next he doesn't.
Stated on channel 9 just minutes ago a number of issues including he would
not damage south Stradbroke island probably due to the fact that he has a
vested interest in Couran cove resort located on this island which is a
purist resort. Instead he will put out another additional pipe to the nearby
sea. This is more than likely the reason for the loss of most of the fish
from the areas nearby.
So the current outlook is Gold coast residents could end up eating treated
sewage inside of the fish caught nearby as more raw sewage is pumped out
than we are currently doing. Also it looks as though we will end up with no
new football team and more illness.
Something needs to be done about getting the water situation fixed along
side of the council hopefully in next few years. Do any of you out there
know how to help get something done and stop these people destroying the
gold coast further.
